Is Eucerin ProAcne Solution Micellar Water suitable for removing eye make-up?

Yes. It has been clinically and opthalmologically tested and proven to be compatible with the sensitive skin around your eyes as well as with the eyes themselves. The eye contour area is particularly delicate and sensitive with a different pH level to facial skin. Eucerin ProAcne Solution Micellar Water respects this difference and has been formulated to pH 7.4 - the optimum pH for the eye area.

Eucerin ProAcne Solution Micellar Water will remove all water soluble eye make-up.

Do I really need to cleanse my skin in the morning and the evening?

Yes. Your skin works hard at renewing itself over night so, when you cleanse in the morning, you are removing sebum (the oily substance that your skin produces naturally to stop it drying out). At the end of the day you need to remove sebum, sweat and any make-up that you may have been wearing. Cleansing your skin also ensures that it is able to absorb the active ingredients in your care products.

What does Micellar mean?

Micelles are microscopic, spherical aggregates of surfactant molecules. Each surfactant molecule has a hydrophilic (water-loving) head that is attracted to water molecules and a hydrophobic (water-hating) tail that repels water and simultaneously attaches itself to the oil and grease in dirt. These opposing forces loosen dirt and suspend it in the water which is wiped away on the cotton pad. Micellar cleansers are used without water and are especially suitable for sensitive skin. 

When should I use the ProAcne Solution Micellar Water and when should I use Eucerin ProAcne Solurion Toner?

Micellar water is a cleanser, toner and make-up remover all in one intended for use when you need a quick and convenient cleansing solution. Toner is applied after using a dedicated cleanser such as Eucerin ProAcne Solution Cleansing Gel and prepares skin for moisturiser and other care products.

Eucerin ProAcne Solution Toner is particularly suitable for oily and blemish-prone skin as it feels refreshing but, as it contains alcohol, we do not recommend that you use it during medical acne-treatment. If you are undergoing medical acne treatment and enjoy using a toner, then use Eucerin ProAcne Solution Micellar Water to tone your skin after cleansing thoroughly with Eucerin ProAcne Solution Cleansing Gel instead.
